Fwd: THANKSGIVING
Hey all, Happy Thinksgiving! -- hmm, that's an interesting parapraxis -- of course I meant to write Happy Thanksgiving! I wrote this with a fella in mind who was instrumental in the life of my sister's husband -- for that I give thanks! This poem dedicated to Floyd (picture) was begun after reading Dr. David Jeremiah's
As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have
been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7

WALK IN THE LIGHT
Step outside yourself for a while,
Walk in the shadow of someone else;
Leave the darkness of your nights,
Let God guide you to Himself.
Keep going when your heart gets weary,
Walk in the light of a brand new day;
Don't linger long in the time you were teary,
Bravely march into God's mercy and grace.
Step lively while you are still able,
Walk in the strength of the Lord Jesus Christ;
Secure in the faith don't just be still,
Get up and do something good with your life.
Walk in the light while you still can,
Find joy in every moment you've been given;
When you must stop moving take your stand,
With a grateful heart of thanksgiving.
