SALVATION

Image
Matthew 7:24-27  (NIV) Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine  and puts them  into practice  is like a wise man who built his  house on the rock.   The  rain came down, the streams rose,  and the winds blew and beat  against  that house; yet it did not fall,  because it had its foundation on the rock.   SALVATION Saved from death,  s aved from hell,  Saved from living to please myself. Saved from lies,  sa ved from guilt, Saved from dying  in the shack I built. Saved from lust,  s aved from greed, Saved from fretting  over all I think I need; Saved for love,  s aved to encourage, Sav

HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY

This is another not so brilliant attempt to boil down the whole gospel of Jesus Christ into four simple rhyming stanzas. Putting them in proper order took most  of my energy   Today's GDW  devotional provided me the opening verse and, as usual, much more food for thought;  thanks Steve.  Hope you will enjoy, Jeff  Romans 15:4   For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. LIVING HOPE A shining star A virgin birth The love of God has come to Earth A spoken truth A perfect life The written Word preserved in Light A living hope An eternal home A two-edged Sword to guard the soul An empty cross An open grave Jesus our Lord came to save! NOTHING IN THIS WORLD

NOTHING IN THE WORLD   Nothing in this world Will separate my love from you Nothing in this world of lies Is stronger than eternal truth Nothing my friend You might think or say Will ever change my mind Or nullify my grace My child you are Mine Your heart is a spiritual thing Nothing in this material world Can undo a Cross-bought destiny I formed you in your mother's womb I've watched you grow and change I've known you from your very youth I've celebrated all your birthdays   I remember well the party in Heaven When you released your heart to Me Don't worry now, I will not forget The moment you believed   Nothing in this world Or all creation for that matter Is stronger than my love for you I am your Father, rest in my love   J.
