LET GOD Of all pains the heart endures The agony of letting go is the worst Whoever it was who said *holdr on loosely* Must have realized the paradox of surrender Of all wonders the heart experiences The joy of letting go has got to be e best Whoever it was who said *love God first* Truly understood His very best friend Of all the answers the heart must unwrap The peace found letting God is the easiest Whoever it was who said *let go and let God* Def comprehended the breadth of His strength Of all the decisions the heart has to make Letting go and trusting God is paramount Whoever it was who first said *God is faithful* Must have known JESUS only saves the lost J.E.P. 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1Zboj9p6Kw

This is something I've wanted to do for years; a verse by verse rendering of Psalm 119. It was a distinct lack of joy that more or less lead me to Psalm 119 in the NLT and I was hit hard with the very first verse of the Psalm, one I never really "saw" before; the not-so-secret secret of joy! I love the way the psalmist identifies and voices the very thoughts of our hearts in verse 8: "I will obey your decrees. Please don't give up on me!" Maybe that's not you, but I've uttered that prayer time and again. Now granted the depths of this psalm are beyond my ability to fathom, but I had to start somewhere, so this is the start of it. I pray I'll live to see the end and understand many more unseen "secrets" in this unbelievably believable Psalm of Grace, and hope you will patiently enjoy it with me.
