NEXT STEP LOVE
When the road ahead is dark,
And fear assaults your weary heart;
Trust God's love is perfect enough,
Choose to make your next step love.
And fear assaults your weary heart;
Trust God's love is perfect enough,
Choose to make your next step love.
When the future you see is bleak at best,
And there's no one to offer encouragement;
Believe that God who sent His Son from above,
Will give you grace to make your next step love.
And there's no one to offer encouragement;
Believe that God who sent His Son from above,
Will give you grace to make your next step love.
When time is standing still or may be running out,
And freedom is covered over by a shadow of doubt;
Faithfully follow God through good times and tough,
Hold on to the Lord Jesus Christ and make your next step love.
And freedom is covered over by a shadow of doubt;
Faithfully follow God through good times and tough,
Hold on to the Lord Jesus Christ and make your next step love.
When it seems like your life is over and there's no where else to go,
And the escape that you have planned is the only seed you have sown;
Just know that God loves you more than you could ever hope to fathom,
When you need it He will give you courage to make your next step love.
And the escape that you have planned is the only seed you have sown;
Just know that God loves you more than you could ever hope to fathom,
When you need it He will give you courage to make your next step love.

I just wanted to let you know that I really liked this poem a lot.
So much that I have read it to a few people and emailed to
a couple as well. I do always enjoy reading your poems.

I got the idea for this poem in church Sunday morning studying Jesus' restoration
of his friend Peter, something I seem to have to relearn daily; how to walk in love.
Hope you'll enjoy! PS Click on the title to see those verses in the New King James.==========================================================
